Mindful Earth

Hey everyone,

When setting up Wildly Mindful it was important for me that mindfulness philosophy stayed a core part of our ethos and practices. To be a brand that champions compassion - with you and the earth in mind. Therefore, Wildly Mindful products are made as consciously and ethically as possible, and this is something I will continue moving towards.

Responsible Production & Limiting Waste

Made-to-Order

Wildly Mindful products are made using the made-to-order production approach, fulfilling only the items our customers actually want. Around 85% of all textiles produced by the fashion industry end up in landfills, making it a major contributor to environmental damage. One in every five garments reaches a landfill without being worn even once. By choosing Made-to-Order, you choose products that are only created as the order is placed, creating less fabric waste than conventional manufacturing.

Product Materials

Our t shirts, tote bags and sweatshirts are made from organic cotton and recycled polyester. The t shirts and tote bags are made from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton. The organic cotton is GOTS certified which means the cotton is organically grown without the use of GMO seeds, or any harmful chemical products (such as pesticides, fertilisers and insecticide) that are dangerous for the environment or the health of the farmers or factory workers. This also means that the water used for organic farming is not considered as lost water, as it can be used again and can return to the soil and other water sources without causing harm. This means that the well-being and livelihood of cotton farmers and their families is respected and protected. The organic cotton is then spun, knitted and dyed in Bangladesh.

The sweatshirts are made from 85% organic cotton, and 15% recycled polyester. The recycled polyester adds strength and sustainability to the sweatshirts so you can wear them time and time again. It is Global Recycling Standard (GRC) certified and the recycled fibres are made from plastic bottles that would otherwise end up in landfill or in our oceans.

Ethical Production

We use Stanley/ Stella as our garment supplier because they prioritise ethical and sustainable apparel production. They are members of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) and work closely with their partner factories to ensure they have a lasting positive impact on working conditions, wages and education.

Recycled Packaging

Our packaging is made of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics. PCR plastics are made from items people recycle every day, like plastic bags and bottles. Most of our PCR plastics are made from shopping bags and wrapping films. The PCR plastic packaging is at least 50% for the outside (white or grey) poly mailer bags, and at least 30% for the inside (clear) bags. PCR packaging protects the products just as well as the virgin plastic bags, and they look almost the same. However, choosing PCR over virgin plastics minimizes the environmental impact plastic has on our planet. There are still more steps to take to reduce our packaging footprint, and we’ll keep exploring more sustainable options.

Efficient shipping

We partner with a manufacturer where around 81% of orders are delivered in the same region they’re fulfilled. Having fulfilment centres in the UK, Europe, North America, South America, Australia and Asia. This allows for faster shipping times and lower shipping costs, and helps with reducing the CO₂ emissions produced when transporting orders.
