BEHIND “WILDLY MINDFUL”
So, what is the meaning behind Wildly Mindful? The phrase has two layers. The first layer is about nature. Being out in the wilderness is hugely beneficial for our wellbeing. For many of us, it is a familiar and intuitive space to connect to the present moment and practice mindfulness. In nature, we can feel more in tune with our surroundings and more grounded. Whether you’re going for a walk in a woodland, along the beach, in a park or garden... you can feel the ground under your feet, the breeze on your face, hear sounds of local wildlife. Nature is a source of calm and serenity for many of us. Wildly Mindful invites us to be in the present moment, feel free and be aware of our surroundings. To step out of autopilot and into nature.
The second layer is about living boldly, freely and authentically. To be courageous by growing, learning and finding your own path in life. Being Wildly Mindful is to be true to yourself and choose you everyday. We can cultivate this inner wisdom and strength by practicing mindfulness and embodying the mindfulness attitudes: to trust yourself, be patient, be non-striving, let go of things you cannot control, have a fresh perspective, be non-judgemental, be grateful and accept yourself.
